Deutsche Telekom is the largest investor and launch customer in Stratospheric Platforms Limited. It is also a key technology partner working with us to drive the innovative technological development. DT has made a significant investment in SPL and has been granted product licenses in 18 countries, which provides over 500 million potential customers with the opportunity to benefit from SPL’s technology

SPL and DT are closely working together on deployment use-cases. They have successfully completed stratospheric flight trials with LTE/4G antenna systems which were fully integrated into DT’s live terrestrial network and demonstrated to the press in October 2020. The trial confirmed the viability of the technology to provide mobile and fixed line connectivity in white-spot areas via a HAP system.
